Avast Secure Browser Review
If you’re a Chrome, Firefox or Edge user You probably aren’t thinking twice to other browsers for the web. Avast Secure browser is a great option for those who want a browser that is focused on privacy and safety. The Chromium-based browser comes with a click reference VPN along with ad blocking and other features.
Its ad blocker allows you to customize the settings and activate strict blocking mode in order to block out even the most persistent ads. It also is compatible with the uBlock Origin plugin, which provides third-party filter lists and dynamic filters to provide greater control. Its phishing prevention helps you avoid scam websites, while its banking mode shields your credit card and password details from prying eyes.
Other features include tab grouping, which makes navigating multiple open tabs easier by keeping them together and organized. It will sync bookmarks, history, and other data across different platforms so that you can continue browsing from where you have left off. It also blocks online ads to improve website load times.
If you’re familiar with Google Chrome, you’ll feel at home with Avast’s browser, as it appears almost identical. It allows you to import all of your bookmarks, configuration settings and other features that you can choose to add. The only drawback is that it sends usage statistics and crash reports to Avast’s servers, which you can change at secure://settings/importData. Otherwise, it’s a solid browser that comes with a lot of security and privacy features that could be an excellent alternative to the big three.
